Air India Express Launches Direct Bengaluru–Phuket Flights.

Air India Express has expanded connectivity between India and Thailand and strengthened its global network by starting direct flights between Bengaluru and Phuket.
The first flight of the new route, which aims to give Indian tourists easy direct access to Phuket, one of Thailand’s most well-liked leisure destinations known for its beaches, nightlife, shopping, and cultural attractions, took off from Bengaluru today.
The airline claims that the Bengaluru–Phuket route will run several times a week, with different schedules on Fridays, Sundays, Mondays, and Saturdays.
As of June 1, 2026, flights from Bengaluru on Mondays and Saturdays will depart at 10:35 and arrive in Phuket at 15:50, while flights returning from Phuket will depart at 16:45 and arrive back in Bengaluru at 18:55.
On Friday, planes will leave Bengaluru at 11:25 and arrive in Phuket at 16:40. Return flights will leave Phuket at 17:40 and arrive in Bengaluru at 19:50.
On Sundays, flights will leave Bengaluru at 11:15 and reach Phuket at 16:30. On the other hand, return flights will depart Phuket at 17:30 and reach Bengaluru at 19:40.
In addition to the airline’s Bengaluru–Bangkok operations, which were launched in October of last year, the new Phuket route increases Air India Express’s presence in Thailand.
Currently, Air India Express provides direct connection to 31 domestic and eight overseas destinations with almost 500 weekly flights from Bengaluru.
The airline claims that the launch is a component of its larger plan to improve international connectivity from important Indian cities to popular leisure locations in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
At the recent Bengaluru Airport Pinnacle Awards, Air India Express was named “Airline of the Year” in both domestic and international categories. Additionally, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, in association with the Airports Authority of India and FICCI, presented the airline with the Domestic Connectivity Award at Wings India 2026.
Additionally, the airline has been promoting its new ad, “Xpress Wali Baat Hai,” which features Pankaj Tripathi and highlights onboard amenities including hot meals, improved comfort, and increased network connectivity on both domestic and international routes.
