Vietnam Tourism & VFS Global Promote Destinations.

VNAT and VFS Global have signed an MoU to promote Vietnam as a top tourism destination in important source markets including India.

Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman, Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism; Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, Vise Chairwoman; Nguyen Quy Phuong, Director of International Relations & Tourism Promotion Department; Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan, Director, Digital Transformation Center for Culture, Sports, and Tourism; and Simon Peachey, Chief Operating Officer, signed the MoU in Hanoi on August 6, 2026.

Coordination of promotional efforts will raise awareness of Viet Nam’s tourism offerings and encourage inbound tourism growth. VFS Global’s Visa Application Centres (VACs), digital platforms, communication channels, information counters, and digital displays in priority markets will promote Viet Nam’s tourism locations, experiences, and travel opportunities under the agreement.

The relationship will also involve destination presentation programs, international tourism fairs, business networking, and engagement with tourism stakeholders, travel trade partners, and strategic clients.

Chairman of the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said, “I would like to sincerely thank VFS Global for its cooperation and partnership. Over 4,200 VFS Global centers operate in 169 nations and territories. Many source markets and visitor segments are directly accessible thru this vast international network. I am convinced that this partnership framework will increase regular, broad, and effective awareness of Viet Nam as a destination across VFS Global’s network, particularly in tourism’s target markets.”

Viet Nam expects 45-50 million international tourists by 2030, growing 15-18% annually. Tourism has great achievements in 2025. Viet Nam has over 21 million international visitors for the first time. Viet Nam wants 25–27 million foreign visitors in 2026. India is a promising source market for Vietnam, with 0.75 million tourists in 2025 and 0.49 million in the first half of 2026.
