IRCTC introduces the “Divine East Temple Tour” on the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train.
On board its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has unveiled a brand-new tourism route called the “Divine East Temple Tour.” Devotees and tourists can enjoy an immersive pilgrimage and heritage experience throughout Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand on this 10-day rail-based trip
On March 9, 2026, the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train will leave Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station and arrive back on March 18, 2026. Varanasi, Kolkata, Gangasagar, Puri, Bhubaneswar, Konark, Chilika, and Baidyanath Dham are among the important locations covered by the route.
Darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Jyotirlinga) and the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi are two of the tour’s main attractions. Next comes a visit to Kolkata, which includes famous sites like the Victoria Memorial, Kali Ghat (Shakti Peeth), and Dakshineshwar Kali Mandir. A major spiritual highlight is a day trip to the Gangasagar’s holy beaches, which includes darshan at Kapil Muni Temple and a holy bath at the Sagar Sangam.
Along with a thorough Odisha circuit that includes Bhubaneswar, Dhauli Shanti Stupa, Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Konark Sun Temple, the tour continues to Puri for darshan at the famed Shri Jagannath Temple. Before the train heads back to Delhi, the last stop is Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar), one of Lord Shiva’s twelve Jyotirlingas.
According to IRCTC, the all-inclusive tour offers a well-balanced combination of leisure and religious travel with the goal of giving travellers a smooth, secure, and enjoyable journey. The cost of the tour is Rs. 1,06,940 for the AC I class, Rs. 98,925 for the AC II class, and Rs. 79,285 for the AC III class. Train travel, hotel accommodations with air conditioning, vegetarian meals, transportation and sightseeing in air-conditioned cars, travel insurance and tour management services are all included in the package.
