Amit Sripathi is named Chief Financial Officer of Wyndham.
David Wilner is also appointed by the corporation as Chief Development Officer for North America

Amit Sripathi was named Chief Financial Officer by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc. Kurt Albert, who has been the company’s interim chief financial officer since November, is replaced by Sripathi, who most recently held the position of chief development officer for North America. David Wilner, a 30-year veteran of franchise sales, has also been appointed Chief Development Officer-North America by the company. The President and CEO, Geoff Ballotti, will get reports from both.
Ballotti, President and CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, stated, “Amit’s combination of deep finance and capital markets expertise coupled with firsthand operational leadership at Wyndham makes him the ideal candidate to lead our finance organization. As seen by Wyndham’s record openings, executions, and development pipelines both domestically and abroad, Amit is uniquely prepared to meet our shareholder objectives and has shown himself to be a champion of owners.”
Since joining Wyndham in 2021, Sripathi has held a number of executive positions, most notably as Chief Development Officer for North America. In addition to spearheading the company’s growth and capital allocation strategy, he has extensive operational and financial experience in the hospitality sector. Sripathi handled the divestment of Wyndham’s owned properties and assisted the company in achieving 20 consecutive quarters of organic net room growth. Before joining Wyndham, Sripathi worked for RLJ Lodging Trust, where he oversaw corporate finance and capital markets. He also held increasingly senior positions in Deutsche Bank’s real estate, lodging, and gaming investment banking division.
“Maintaining our strict financial discipline and capital allocation plan is our top priority in order to maximise shareholder returns and meet our long-term growth goals. Sripathi”, Chief Financial Officer of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, stated, “I am really looking forward to working with the entire leadership team to drive enhanced value creation and build on the “Count on Me” culture that defines our Company.”
Wilner will oversee the company’s North American franchise sales and architecture design and construction teams in his new position. He has assisted franchisees in utilising the Wyndham Advantage and the company’s well-known brands over his nearly eight years at the company. ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham, the industry’s fastest-growing extended stay brand, was developed and introduced by Wyndham under his direction. Wilner was a member of La Quinta’s franchise sales leadership team for 20 years before joining Wyndham.
“David has tremendous expertise translating owners’ needs into strategic growth,” Ballotti continued. “From leading development at La Quinta prior to Wyndham’s acquisition of the brand to driving growth across our new construction prototype brands including La Quinta, WaterWalk, Hawthorn Suites, ECHO Suites, and Microtel.”
