Danzel Walter Promoted to Senior Manager at Singapore Tourism Board

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has announced the promotion of Danzel Walter to the position of Senior Manager, effective 1 April 2026.
A seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Danzel has been a pivotal member of the STB India & South Asia team since 2017. In his previous role as Manager, he was instrumental in leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) initiatives, cruise business development, and trade engagement for key markets, including India and Bangladesh.
“The best way to predict the future is to create it,” said Danzel Walter regarding his new appointment. “I am grateful for the trust and support from my mentors, colleagues, and partners. I look forward to embracing these greater responsibilities and continuing to contribute meaningfully to Singapore’s tourism landscape”.
His tenure at STB has been marked by several significant milestones, including:
- Driving Strategic Growth: Leading large-scale incentive movements, such as the 6,000-pax Sun Pharma movement to Singapore.
- Industry Recognition: Receiving multiple accolades in 2025 for his contributions to destination marketing and innovation.
- Trade Partnerships: Strengthening B2B relationships and executing high-impact regional campaigns that have helped Singapore remain a top-tier destination for Indian travelers.
Before joining STB, Danzel held key sales and marketing roles at VisitEngland, Kingfisher Airlines, and American Express. In his new capacity as Senior Manager, he is expected to take on expanded responsibilities in shaping Singapore’s tourism landscape and driving strategic initiatives across the South Asia region.
