Raffles Hotels & Resorts to Open First Alpine Resort in Courchevel in 2026.

Raffles Hotels and Resorts, an Accor luxury hotel brand, has announced plans to open its first alpine resort in Courchevel, which will be the company’s first foray into upscale mountain hospitality.

The new resort, which was created in collaboration with Art de Vivre, is anticipated to open in the winter of 2028 in Courchevel 1850, one of the most famous ski areas in the French Alps.

The proposed Raffles Courchevel, a secluded slopeside retreat with a view of the Tarentaise Valley, will be situated within the exclusive Jardin Alpin neighbourhood.

Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels and Resorts stated, “The launch of Raffles Courchevel represents an extraordinary milestone for our brand, representing our first venture into the stylish world of alpine luxury and our second distinguished address in France, joining Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris. The choice of Courchevel demonstrates our dedication to carefully growing the Raffles brand in the most sought-after resort locations across the globe. Raffles is renowned for its undeniable glamour, intrinsic elegance, and highly personalised service. Courchevel is the ideal fit because of its lively sophistication and natural charm. We are excited to work with Art de Vivre to create a remarkable and entirely original resort experience in the mountains, since their vision and commitment exactly match our own.”

The world’s largest connected ski region, Les Trois Vallées, is directly accessible from Courchevel 1850, which is renowned for its Michelin-starred restaurants, stylish boutiques, and opulent hospitality.

Situated in the upscale Jardin Alpin area, Raffles Courchevel will have expansive views of the Tarentaise Valley and be among the destination’s gastronomic, cultural, and social attractions.

The resort, which was designed by JMV and has interiors by Humbert and Poyet, will have fifty bedrooms and suites, many of which have private balconies with views of the surrounding alpine scenery. The Raffles brand’s emphasis on highly individualised service has created the property’s positioning as an intimate luxury retreat.

The resort will provide two destination restaurants, a tea lounge and a signature bar in addition to outdoor terraces and winter gardens.

In addition to treatment rooms, thermal facilities, a fitness center, and a panoramic swimming pool, the wellness offering will include a spa and rehabilitation center that combines longevity-focused therapies with alpine health traditions.

Additionally, the resort will launch a special program for younger visitors that focuses on experiences related to sport, nature, and wellbeing.

Jonathan Lau, CEO and co-founder of Art de Vivre stated, “Courchevel 1850 is a destination that demands the very highest standards in design, service, and execution. We have discovered a partner in Raffles whose rich cultural history, principles, and legacy match our goal. The generations of craftsmanship and age-old customs that characterise Courchevel’s status as the epitome of alpine hospitality are infused with the same spirit. We are honoured to have the chance to contribute to its next chapter and have the utmost respect for its legacy. We are thrilled to build a resort under the Raffles banner that will be worthy of this remarkable environment and become an enduring landmark of Courchevel. This has been our solitary ambition.”

Raffles Courchevel will join Raffles London at The OWO, Le Royal Monceau  Raffles Paris, Raffles Europejski Warsaw, and Raffles Istanbul as the sixth European property in the Raffles Hotels and Resorts portfolio. Raffles Lake Como is slated to debut in 2027.
