Maldivian and SriLankan Airlines sign interline contract.
With a single ticket, travellers may now easily connect to 17 domestic locations in the Maldives thanks to a new interline arrangement between SriLankan Airlines and Island Aviation Services, operating as Maldivian (Q2).
Through Velana International Airport in Malé and Gan International Airport on Gan Island, visitors can book trips involving both airlines on a single electronic ticket for both inbound and outbound travel. It is anticipated that the collaboration will facilitate travel and enhance access to both popular and isolated island locations around the Maldives.
The interline arrangement expands connectivity throughout the Maldivian archipelago and facilitates easier transfers for both pleasure and business passengers by combining SriLankan Airlines’ international network with Maldivian’s domestic operations.
With seamless onwards connections via its global network, SriLankan Airlines currently offers two weekly flights to Gan International Airport and three daily flights to Velana International Airport in Malé.
By providing simpler booking options and better access to destinations throughout the Maldives, the alliance is also anticipated to generate new opportunities for travel agents, tour operators, corporate trip planners, and individual travellers.

With a single, seamless tour, visitors can now fully appreciate the uniqueness of the Maldivian archipelago.
Through its own network and codeshare arrangements, SriLankan Airlines links travellers to over 130 destinations in 63 countries and serves 33 online destinations. A330-200/300 and A320/321 aircraft make up the carrier’s all-Airbus fleet.
