SITA to buy Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions.

Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, which offers passenger processing, luggage, and airport operations technology capabilities, has agreed to be acquired by SITA. This acquisition will increase SITA‘s capacity to provide more reliable and seamless operations throughout the air transportation sector.

From check-in and self-service touchpoints to bag drop and the mission-critical systems that keep airport operations operating, Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions offers the technology and operational know-how that carries travellers and baggage through the terminal. Subject to standard closing conditions, such as obtaining necessary regulatory clearances, the transaction is anticipated to close within the first half of 2027.

According to David Lavorel, CEO of SITA, “Expectations are rising along with air travel. Our industry increasingly needs technology, innovation, and people working together to connect each part of the journey so disruptions are prevented or fixed fast when they happen. This acquisition strengthens our dedication and position as the reliable technology partner our clients depend on, expanding SITA’s offerings and capabilities.”

It is anticipated that the merger of SITA and Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions will improve passenger, luggage, and general airport operations while strengthening support for all clients.

Nathalie Altwegg, Senior Vise President, Airports, SITA stated, “A trusted partner is what an airport wants from a technology provider. This entails being aware of its surroundings, collaborating closely with its teammates, and providing assistance when required. Our capacity to do that for more clients throughout the sector will be strengthened by this acquisition.”
