Costa Declares South America’s 2026–2027 Season

Sales for Costa Cruises’ 2026–2027 South American season, which will include the Costa Diadema and the Costa Serena, have begun.

The ships will serve regional national markets from November 2026 to April 2027, a press release stated.

The deployment consists of three- to nine-night itineraries that leave from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Montevideo, Uruguay, and Santos, Itajaí, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“The confirmation of two iconic ships for the 2026-2027 season reinforces our long-term commitment to Brazil and South America, which are priority and strategic markets for Costa,” stated Dario Rustico, the company’s executive president for the Americas.

“The arrival of the Costa Serena, a completely reimagined ship, guarantees an authentic travel experience, in addition to a robust offer for the classic destinations most requested by our guests,” he continued.

On November 26, 2026, the Costa Diadema will begin operations, providing three- and four-night mini-cruises to Ilhabela from Santos and Itajaí.

The 2014-built ship will begin offering seven-night excursions to Argentina and Uruguay that sail to Buenos Aires and Montevideo on December 20, 2026.

After a 65-night journey from Tokyo to Buenos Aires, the Costa Serena will begin its season in South America on December 22, 2026.

The 2007-built ship will provide three- to nine-night voyages leaving from Buenos Aires and Montevideo, marking its first deployment in the region in more than a decade.

Additionally, for itineraries that sail to Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, guests will be able to board the ship in Rio de Janeiro.

Punta del Este, Ilhabela, and Balneário Camboriú are just a few of the many locations in the area that the cruise will visit.

Following a significant revitalisation earlier this year in Asia, Costa announced that the Costa Serena is now delivering new features.

Additionally, the business stated that both ships will provide repositioning trips to Europe at the conclusion of their seasons. One such trip will be a 26-night transatlantic voyage aboard the Costa Diadema, which departs Santos and arrives in Kiel on April 5, 2027.
