Celebrating 50 Years of River Cruising, Uniworld.

It has been revealed that Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will commemorate its 50th anniversary this year. Uniworld announced that it will hold a 50th Anniversary Sale and commemorate its “Golden Anniversary” throughout 2026 by offering a variety of unique experiences and commemorative moments. Uniworld president and CEO Ellen Bettridge stated, “Everything we do starts with our guests. Over the course of 50 years, we have continuously raised the standard for what luxury river cruising can be, listened intently, and changed with our travellers. We’re excited to be celebrating with our guests all year long, and this anniversary is both a celebration of how far we’ve come and an exciting look at where we’re headed next” .

According to a press release from the firm, every European sailing in 2026 will include an onboard Golden Party, a night time celebration honouring 50 years on the rivers, along with other anniversary themed events all year long. Uniworld is asking both returning customers and first-time river cruisers to join them in celebrating this historic year with a 50th Anniversary Sale that offers up to 30% off select 2026 departures.

The S.S. Emilie, the company’s first new construction since 2021, will also make its debut this historic year, sailing the Danube on eight European itineraries. Inspired by the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and named after his muse, Emilie Flöge, the 154 passenger Super Ship features Art Nouveau design elements, dramatic jewel tones, gold accents, a unique restaurant and bar, and a novel two bedroom suite option.

A 50  night “Rivers of the World” cruise that spans three continents and four ships, two new Mystery Cruise sailings, the brand’s first-ever Grand Mystery Cruise combining both departures, and more “Generations Collection” family sailings are just a few of the new itineraries that will be offered during the anniversary year. As part of its biggest expansion to date, Uniworld stated that it will reveal four ships and six itineraries in 2027. The Audrey, Marlene, and São Rafael have been added, along with special sailings on the Aqua Blu, which will be Uniworld’s first in Singapore and Indonesia.
