As Praveen Iyer resigns, Akasa Air names Anand Srinivasan as CCO.

Following a five-year adventure, Akasa Air announced that Praveen Iyer, its co-founder and chief commercial officer, has made the decision to move on and start a new chapter in his life. Anand Srinivasan, a co-founder and chief information officer, will serve as chief commercial officer. Through April 30, 2026, Iyer will work closely with the leadership group to make sure the transition is orderly and seamless.

Vinay Dube, founder and CEO of Akasa Air, stated “Praveen has been instrumental in shaping not only Akasa’s commercial vision but the airline itself and translating that ambition into sustained growth. In addition to developing future leaders and creating a robust and resilient commercial organization, he has also created frameworks and partnerships that continue to support our network expansion and revenue strategy. We are appreciative of his vision, leadership, and long-term outlook throughout the airline’s early years. I wish Praveen and his family all the best and incredibly appreciative of his advice and crucial role in creating Akasa.”

The IT team at Akasa has developed strong, scalable, and secure platforms under Srinivasan’s direction, enabling the airline’s quick growth. Strong capabilities in revenue systems, operational technology, digital products, data, and analytics have been delivered by the team, laying the groundwork for Akasa’s future growth initiatives.

The IT department will answer to Ankur Goel, the Chief Financial Officer of Akasa Air, once Srinivasan assumes his new position. Ankur will assist Akasa in advancing the technological legacy that Anand has left behind. He has a track record of creating high-performing teams.
