Malaysia Aviation Group announces new executive leadership appointments.

With effect from February 1, 2026, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has appointed Low Wen Long as Group Chief Strategy Officer and Bryan Foong Chee Yeong as Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business. These appointments, which directly report to Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, MAG’s President and Group CEO-designate, fortify MAG’s leadership at a critical juncture as the Group moves forward with its Long-Term Business Plan 3.0 (LTBP 3.0), fostering expansion in its core industries and guaranteeing financial stability.

Bryan will be in charge of directing the performance and strategic direction of MAG’s global and segmented airline portfolio, which includes Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and Amal, in his capacity as Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business. Bryan, a well respected leader in the company, is currently the Group Chief Strategy Officer. During the COVID-19 epidemic, he was crucial to the Group’s financial reorganisation and helped it turn a profit. Bryan is well-positioned to lead the airline businesses in advancing commercial performance, operational dependability, and customer centric innovation, further enhancing MAG’s regional and international stature, thanks to his proven track record of creating high impact initiatives and collaborations.

To promote sustainable growth and value creation, Wen Long will oversee the development and implementation of the Group’s enterprise wide strategy across its major business portfolios. Wen Long has been instrumental in forming the Group’s transformational roadmap under LTBP 2.0 and LTBP 3.0 since his appointment as Head of Corporate Strategy in 2018. He has spearheaded long-term fleet planning, network optimisation and strategic initiatives that have improved MAG’s market position and accelerated its growth goals.

As MAG embarks on the next phase of its transformation, which will see a move from stabilisation to scaled and disciplined growth, Captain Nasaruddin stated, “We are driven by a clear obligation to create a financially viable and internationally competitive aviation group that plays a crucial role in facilitating Malaysia’s long-term development.” A seasoned executive team, including Philip See, Chief Executive Officer of Loyalty & Travel Services and Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri, Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Services, will continue to support Captain Nasaruddin as he takes on his full responsibilities as President and Group Chief Executive Officer of MAG on February 1. The recent hiring of Amran Mohd Tomin as Group Chief People Officer and Ong Min Hui as Group Chief Transformation and Customer Experience Officer further strengthens this core leadership, which ensures integrated competence throughout MAG’s three key business areas, including Airline Business.

With this improved leadership group in place, MAG is in a strong position to meet its strategic goals and reaffirm its dedication to providing outstanding value to its stakeholders and clients around the globe.
