Lisbon introduces airport taxi charges with set prices.

Travellers can now buy fixed-fare taxi vouchers at Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport to cover the entire cost of their transfer before departing the airport for trips to locations throughout the city.

The system, which is run by Turismo de Lisboa (ATL), splits Lisbon into two zones and bases prices on the number of passengers, destination, and trip time. There are no extra fees; the price listed on the voucher is the total fare.

The ticket is €16 for Zone 1 and €19 for Zone 2 on weekdays between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Up to four people and their bags are included in these tariffs. Fares are €20 for Zone 1 and €23 for Zone 2 on weekends, Portuguese public holidays, and between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

On weekdays between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, the fee for groups of more than four people travelling in cars with the proper capacity is €20 for Zone 1 and €23 for Zone 2. Fares are €24 on weekends, €28 between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am, and on Portuguese public holidays.

“This is the standard Lisbon sets for the world: exceptional hospitality and trust from the moment you arrive,” stated António Valle, Director-General of Turismo de Lisboa. Everyone benefits from a set rate, including tourists arriving in Lisbon, locals returning home, and taxi drivers who can offer a service with more transparent regulations and foster more consumer trust.

Alvalade, Areeiro, Avenidas Novas, Beato, Lumiar, Marvila, Olivais, Parque das Nação, Penha de México, and Santa Clara are all included in Zone 1.

Ajuda, Alcázara, Arroios, Belém, Benfica, Campolide, Campo de Ourique, Carnide, Estrela, Misericórdia, Santa Maria Maior, Santo António, São Domingos de Benfica, and São Vicente are all located in Zone 2.

The Ask Me Lisboa Tourism Desk at Humberto Delgado Airport, which is open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., is where travellers can buy the vouchers. For reference, the US dollar figures stated are approximations. The ultimate fare is represented by the amount stated on the voucher, which is priced in euros.
