SAS resumes nonstop Copenhagen–Mumbai flights after 17 years.

On October 2, 2026, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) began operating nonstop flights between Copenhagen and Mumbai, returning to the Indian market after a 17-year hiatus. The reopened route improves aviation connections between India and Scandinavia and reunites Denmark with India’s financial hub.

Using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, the route will run five times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Flight SK969 is planned to fly for eight hours and fifty minutes, leaving Copenhagen at 4:10 PM and arriving in Mumbai at 4:30 AM the next day. The return service, SK970, will fly for nine hours and fifteen minutes, leaving Mumbai at 6:30 AM and arriving in Copenhagen at 12:15 PM.

In addition to promoting leisure, commerce, and cultural ties between the two markets, the restored service improves air connectivity between Scandinavia and India.

Additionally, Copenhagen is a key hub in the SAS network, allowing travellers from Mumbai to connect to locations around Europe and the US.

The service expands connectivity choices for passengers going beyond Copenhagen while giving Indian tourists direct access to the Danish city, which is renowned for its waterfront, royal legacy, bicycle culture, and Scandinavian style.
