Turkish Airlines Appoints Ahmet Olmuştur as CEO and Prof. Murat Şeker as Chairman.

Prof. Murat Şeker has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines. He has long held positions as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the national flag carrier, including finance, treasury, and investor relations.

In July 2016, Prof. Şeker was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Turkish Airlines, overseeing finance, treasury operations, accounting, procurement, and investor relations. Since March 2021, he has been a member of Turkish Airlines’ board and executive committee. In addition, he is a board member of SunExpress and Turkish Technic.

Ahmet Olmuştur, who served as Turkish Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for many years and oversaw the company’s strategic sales and marketing operations, has been named CEO.

Ahmet Olmuştur has been the company’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer since 2014. He has been the Chief Commercial Officer since 2024.

Olmuştur has contributed to Turkish Airlines in a number of important areas across his career, including customer experience, sales and marketing operations, revenue management and pricing strategies, route network development, and the Miles&Smiles reward program.
