Norwegian Cruise Line expands its fleet with Norwegian LunaTM.

Norwegian Luna, the newest ship to sail year-round Caribbean routes and visit NCL's resort-style destinations, will make its debut in Miami in late March.

The 21st vessel in Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) acclaimed fleet, Norwegian LunaTM, is delivered by Fincantieri. The 3,565 passenger ship has 1,809 staterooms and a variety of purposefully created spaces and activities, including 18 bars and lounges and 17 dining options.

Norwegian Cruise Line President Marc Kazlauskas stated “We are excited to welcome Norwegian Luna to our fleet and to welcome our first guests aboard next week. Norwegian Luna, our newest vessel, is a potent representation of NCL’s “It’s Different Out Here” marketing philosophy. She provides guests with independence, flexibility, and well chosen experiences so they may easily enjoy their trip as they see fit. This ship is a symbol of our vision’s ongoing development and the amazing effort that goes into creating an award-winning class of ships. We are incredibly grateful to our outstanding colleagues at Fincantieri and the world-class architects and designers that made Norwegian Luna a reality.”

“We are proud to deliver Norwegian Luna, a ship that truly reflects our ability to interpret and anticipate the evolution of the global cruise industry,” said Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of Fincantieri’s Merchant Ships Division. The long-standing partnership between Fincantieri and NCL, which is based on a common dedication to innovation, is further strengthened by this milestone. Thanks to innovative design ideas and a degree of construction excellence demonstrated by our Marghera shipyard, the Prima Plus Class establishes a new standard for the industry. Every yacht we build is the result of combined knowledge, enthusiasm and modern technology factors that enable us to shape the future of cruising.”
