Norwegian Cruise Line Opens Summer 2028 Bookings with 450+ Voyages.
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has opened bookings for its Summer 2028 season, offering more than 450 voyages across 20 ships to approximately 150 destinations in 51 countries. The new programme features three- to 14-day itineraries departing from 25 homeports, including Miami, Seattle, Rome (Civitavecchia) and London (Southampton).
The summer programme is designed to give travellers more time to explore destinations, with ships spending around 80% of each voyage in port. Typical port calls will last more than 10 hours, while the season will include 175 overnight stays and late departures across 53 destinations. Key ports include Santorini, Livorno for Florence and Pisa, and Juneau in Alaska.
Marc Kazlauskas, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, said the Summer 2028 programme provides travellers with more stateroom choices, destination-focused itineraries and value, while offering greater opportunities to experience local destinations.
Expanded Bahamas and Caribbean Programme
NCL will expand its Caribbean presence with Norwegian Aqua beginning its first summer season of three- and four-night roundtrip cruises from Miami. The itineraries will include visits to NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, which is set to feature the Great Tides Waterpark. The attraction will include 19 waterslides, interactive water features, children’s activities and the Vibe Shore Club.
Norwegian Aura will offer seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises from Miami, visiting Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Stirrup Cay. Norwegian Prima will return to Galveston in May 2028 for seven-day Western Caribbean cruises, while Norwegian Luna will reposition from Miami to New York City for 10-day itineraries.
Wider European Offering
NCL is also expanding its European programme. Norwegian Jewel will make its debut in Morocco during a 12-day Canary Islands itinerary from Barcelona to Casablanca and Agadir. Norwegian Getaway will operate 10- and 11-day Northern Europe cruises between London and Reykjavik during the midnight sun season, including a first visit to Vik, Norway.
Norwegian Dawn will debut in Zadar, Croatia, and Cagliari, Sardinia, while Norwegian Viva, Pearl and Epic will offer Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries featuring overnight stays and late departures.
Alaska and South Pacific
Four NCL ships will operate in Alaska between April and October 2028. Norwegian Encore, Bliss and Joy will offer cruises from Seattle, while Norwegian Jade will sail between Vancouver and Whittier, including routes through Glacier Bay or past Hubbard Glacier. Cruise tours to Denali National Park and journeys on the Alaska Railroad will also be available.
NCL will additionally operate Bermuda sailings from Philadelphia, New York City and Boston, while Norwegian Spirit will offer 11- to 13-day South Pacific voyages linking destinations including Fiji, Samoa, French Polynesia, Hawaii, Vanuatu and New Caledonia.
As part of its End of Summer Sale through August 18, 2026, NCL is offering 50% off selected cruises and up to US$750 in onboard credit per stateroom, alongside its Free at Sea package on eligible sailings.
