Norwegian Declares Free at Sea Plus’s Return.
According to a recent press release, Norwegian Cruise Line is reintroducing its Free at Sea Plus package. The return, according to the firm, “takes the Free at Sea program to the next level, giving travellers even more ways to enjoy a seamless, stress-free cruise.
The package, which starts at $49.99 per person per day, is supposed to include upgraded facilities including limitless streaming Wi-Fi and Starbucks beverages. Premium and extra beverage options are also available at Free at Sea Plus, including wines and champagne by the glass from Norwegian’s renowned collection, as well as premium spirits like Patrón Añejo and the Macallan 12 YO. Bottled water, energy drinks and fresh juices are also included in the package, along with a 50% reduction on any additional speciality meal cover fees.
The cruise line’s private island destination in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay, offers guests who choose the extended package unlimited drinks. Beginning in March 2026, Norwegian will no longer honour its standard beverage packages at the cruise port, as previously reported by Cruise Industry News. “Free at Sea Plus means even fewer logistics to manage, total budget control, and more time to relax when combined with Free at Sea’s existing inclusions speciality dining, unlimited open bar onboard the ship, high-speed Wi-Fi powered by Starlink, and shore excursion credits,” the business stated. The revised package will be offered for sailings leaving on February 1, 2026, beginning on December 18, 2025.
Norwegian’s deployment for the 2027–2028 winter season was announced together with the reintroduction of Free at Sea Plus. A news release states that the company will provide more than 370 voyages around Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and the Mexican Riviera. In addition to two of the company’s newest ships, the Norwegian Viva and the Norwegian Prima, sailing from Puerto Rico, the timetable included seven ships departing from Florida. In 2027–2028, Norwegian will additionally provide cruises from Los Angeles, New Orleans, Galveston, Jacksonville, and Philadelphia.
