Opus Bay, Batam’s first integrated resort, opens December 2026.

In December 2026, Batam‘s first integrated resort development, Opus Bay, will open as a hospitality, leisure, and lifestyle destination 45 minutes via ferry from Singapore. The waterfront development will integrate lodging, retail, dining, and recreation under the theme of ‘A City inside a City’.

Marina Bay Ferry Cove, a ferry terminal, and Balmoral Tower, a 493-room Residence on Opus Bay hotel, will open in the first phase. A beachfront retail promenade, sports park, and ultra-luxury all-villa getaway Cluny Resorts will follow in early 2027.

Opus Bay’s Marina Bay Ferry Cove will connect Singapore to the resort complex. The station is three minutes on foot from Balmoral Tower and allows tourists to reach their accommodations without a car transfer.

The development is near Batam’s attractions. Saung Budaya Batam, Puncak Beliung, and Batam Hills Golf Resort are 10 minutes distant, while Barelang Bridge and two more golf courses are 25–30 minutes.

The resort is 30–35 minutes from Grand Batam Mall, Batam City Square, and K-Square, and 45 minutes from Hang Nadim International Airport.

Two hospitality options

Two lodging options will serve distinct traveller segments at Residence on Opus Bay. The 35-story Balmoral Tower, Batam’s largest hotel, will include 493 rooms in nine categories, from studios to two-bedroom suites.

The accommodations will have private balconies, kitchenettes, washer-dryers, and an AI-powered digital concierge for short-term and long-term guests. Early 2027 will see Cluny Resorts open a luxurious all-villa getaway with 57 villas in seven categories.

Cluny Resorts

There will be 169-square-meter one-bedroom villas and 548-square-meter three-bedroom Grand Villas. Most villas will have private pools, and a buggy service will take visitors to the seaside promenade and ferry terminal. Retail, dining, and entertainment on the waterfront

Nearly 80 retail and dining outlets will line the 10,000-square-meter Bay Boulevard Marina Promenade. The waterfront precinct will have concept retailers, outdoor eating, a food hall with local and seafood specialities, and a supermarket for groceries and needs.

A dedicated Sports Park will have three padel and four pickleball courts for recreational and competitive players. Supporting facilities include seating, showers, and a food kiosk. The development’s first phase will open the promenade and sports park in early 2027.

With direct ferry access, different accommodation types, and integrated leisure facilities, Opus Bay is attracting leisure travellers, families, and business visitors from Singapore and Batam for a short or long stay.
