IHG & Alphanam Group open InterContinental Sapa Resort in NW Vietnam.

The Residences at InterContinental Sapa Resort, the first InterContinental-branded homes in Northwest Vietnam, is the result of a partnership between IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) and Alphanam Group.

The homes will be a part of the 83-hectare Alphanam Group-developed Alphora Muong Hoa International Resort Complex, which is situated in the Muong Hoa Valley in Sapa, Lao Cai Province. The project brings together world-class hospitality, modern design, and the distinctive character of the local location by fusing premium branded living with the services and amenities of the future InterContinental Sapa Resort.

The 79 branded villas that make up the Residences at InterContinental Sapa Resort will provide residents with access to a variety of hotel amenities and services, such as dining, spa, concierge, and hospitality experiences. The homes, which were created by a group of consultants that included DP Architects, Avalon, SCSY, and P Landscape, were thoughtfully designed to blend in with Muong Hoa Valley’s natural topography.

Bryan Chan, Vise President, Development, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts stated, “This historic development combines the global strength and legacy of the InterContinental brand with the unique character and natural beauty of Muong Hoa Valley, creating an exceptional branded residential offering in one of Vietnam’s most remarkable destinations. This project represents both our long-term trust in Vietnam’s hospitality and residential industries and the growing demand for premium branded living experiences as the country continues to expand into one of the world’s top markets for branded residences.”

Nguyen Ngoc My, Vise Chairwoman of Alphanam Group said, “Developing a project on a heritage land requires the highest level of respect and discipline. Every square inch of the land is meticulously cared for, every new seedling is planted and cultivated, and every step of development is approached with careful deliberation, measurement, and in-depth research. We have selected architects from the UK and Switzerland for the InterContinental component, which consists of the hotel and branded residences. These architects are not only well-known figures in the hospitality industry but also experts with a thorough understanding of mountain climates, including humidity and cold weather, and above all a profound understanding of what visitors to Sapa anticipate.”

When finished, the project is anticipated to be the highest-altitude residential villa project under the InterContinental name in the portfolio of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts worldwide.

IHG now has 35 branded residential projects in 19 countries that are either open or in the sales phase with the owner or developer, and there are more chances in the works.
