IndiGo and Adani Airports Partner to Offer BluChips on Duty-Free Shopping.

The program’s duty-free shops are presently found in airports in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, Mangaluru, and Lucknow. LGBIA, Guwahati, and NMIA, Mumbai, are proposed locations.

Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) and IndiGo have established a strategic agreement that would allow IndiGo BluChip members to earn on duty-free shopping at airports run by AAHL.

For every INR 100 spent on duty-free goods that are pre-booked on the Adani platform, users can receive five IndiGo BluChips under the arrangement. Before leaving, travellers can peruse, book, and pay for items online. They can then quickly pick them up at the airport.

“This partnership with Adani Duty Free strengthens our commitment to offering meaningful rewards beyond flights, making every step of the journey more beneficial for our customers,” stated Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo.

“By integrating digital discovery, pre-order convenience, and seamless collection through the Adani platform, we are transforming how travellers shop at airports,” stated Suchit Bansal, CEO of AAHL’s non-aero division.

After making their purchase, customers can use a specialised portal to check in, attach their IndiGo BluChip membership ID, and collect their profits based on their spending within 24 to 48 hours. Through the integration of digital convenience, loyalty benefits, and airport shops, the program seeks to provide a more seamless travel experience.

Airports in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, Mangaluru, and Lucknow currently have duty-free shops under the program; Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati and the recently opened Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) are planned locations.

More than 2,000 flights are operated by IndiGo every day, linking more than 140 destinations globally, including more than 40 international and more than 95 local locations. Together with NMIA, AAHL runs eight airports in India: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram.
