On Oct. 2, Manas National Park reopens, starting Assam’s wildlife tourism season.

The Manas National Park will reopen on October 2, marking the beginning of Assam’s wildlife tourism season.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) announced on social media that Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary will reopen on October 13 and Kaziranga National Park on October 3.
“Assam is prepared to welcome visitors back to its rich natural landscapes with the reopening of Manas National Park on October 2, Kaziranga National Park on October 3, and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary on October 13,” the statement stated.
As the monsoon gives way to a new travel season, Assam is prepared to welcome tourists back to some of its most famous wildlife spots, according to a post by Minister for Environment and Forests Jayanta Malla Baruah.
“I extend a warm invitation to wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers, and travellers from across the country and beyond to come and experience Assam’s extraordinary biodiversity as our parks and sanctuaries reopen their gates,” Baruah stated.
