IHG makes its brand debut in Punjab by opening Voco Amritsar.

The luxury Voco brand will make its Punjabi debut with the inauguration of Voco Amritsar, according to IHG Hotels and Resorts. The hotel is marketed as a modern lodging choice for business, leisure, and spiritual tourists visiting the city.
The property is ideally situated near important sites including the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Wagah Border. It also provides easy access to Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport and Amritsar’s cultural and historical attractions.
Manish Kumar Yadav, General Manager stated, “Voco Amritsar has been envisioned as a stay experience that balances comfort with a strong sense of place, inviting guests to truly unwind while staying connected to the city’s spiritual and cultural pulse. Our entire crew, whose enthusiasm, diligence, and attention to detail have brought the voco spirit to life in Amritsar and ensured that guests feel truly welcomed from the moment they arrive, is likewise proud of this opening.”
Voco Amritsar creates a cosy and laid-back residential-style atmosphere with its modern décor and subtle local inspirations. While the public areas are defined by soft tones, layered lighting, and textured materials, the guestrooms and suites have roomy layouts, practical workstations, and soothing colour schemes. Standard rooms, premium rooms, suites, and unique two-story duplex rooms are all included in the 139-key hotel. Using bedding made of recycled materials, such as pillows and duvets made of recycled plastic, integrates sustainability.
The hotel’s dining options include Plum Lounge, a rooftop space for cocktails and bar fare, The Gallery for tea and light snacks and Saffron, an all-day restaurant providing regional and international cuisine. Tattva Spa, a workout center, and an outdoor pool are examples of wellness amenities.
The hotel has two outdoor areas and seven inside venues for events and meetings. The offering is anchored by the 8,075-square-foot Blossom Ballroom, which is complemented by smaller meeting spaces including Colonial Court Room, Magnolia Hall, Maple Chamber, and Pearl Chamber, as well as venues like Imperial Hall and Legacy Hall. Larger gatherings are accommodated at outside locations like Harmony Lawn and The Pavilion.
