Summit Hotels Adds Pet-Friendly accommodations.

In response to the increasing number of Indian tourists opting to travel with their dogs, Summit Hotels and Resorts has implemented pet-friendly lodging across a number of hotels in Eastern and Northeast India.
Pets are increasingly being included in family vacations and long leisure travels, which is a reflection of shifting travel preferences. Pet-friendly lodging is becoming more and more popular, especially in hill stations and places that emphasise nature.
Initially, several Summit establishments in Gangtok, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kaziranga, and Tashigang will provide specific pet-friendly room categories. Only certain types of lodging, such as cottages, villas, premium rooms, and some ground-floor rooms, will be available.
Summit Hotels & Resorts CEO Sumit Mitruka commented on the program, saying, “We are seeing a noticeable shift in travel patterns where guests are increasingly wanting their pets to be part of the holiday experience.” Because tourists are looking for more laid-back and family-friendly experiences, destinations in the hills and nature-focused areas readily fit with this trend. Today’s hospitality is becoming more individualised, and it’s becoming more crucial to adjust to shifting visitor preferences.
The pet-friendly program is a component of Summit Hotels and Resorts’ larger plan to improve its leisure portfolio’s experience-led offerings. According to the company, a small price structure for pet stays is being developed and will be applicable to the specified hotel categories.
