FitsAir, City of Dreams Sri Lanka and Cinnamon Hotels Launch Ahmedabad–Colombo Flights.
In order to improve connection for Indian tourists visiting South Asia’s first fully integrated resort, City of Dreams Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, and Walkers Tours have partnered with FitsAir on their direct scheduled passenger flights linking Ahmedabad and Colombo. The service would be run by FitsAir, the private international airline of Sri Lanka, giving passengers easy access and a comfortable journey between Ahmedabad and Colombo.
Three times a week, FitsAir’s new Ahmedabad-Colombo service will serve passengers from Gujarat, one of Sri Lanka’s most important and rapidly expanding Indian source markets. Gujarat continues to demonstrate significant interest in Sri Lanka as a preferred leisure destination due to strong cultural linkages and an increase in outbound travel from the region. In addition to strengthening transit between the two areas, the improved connection makes Colombo a desirable luxury destination for Indian tourists.
Guests can stay at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams or explore other Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts in Colombo, including Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside and Cinnamon Red, offering a range of luxury, upscale and contemporary lodgings while enjoying the city.
With the introduction of direct flights from Ahmedabad to Colombo, Cinnamon holiday packages tailored to Indian tourists are also introduced. These packages combine the City of Dreams Sri Lanka experience with multi-destination itineraries throughout the island, including beach stays at Cinnamon resorts and cultural events in Kandy. These services are designed to provide a smooth travel experience while highlighting the variety of leisure options available in Sri Lanka.
