Accor Enters South Asia with TRIBE Kathmandu Budhanilkantha.

As the hospitality firm continues to bolster its expansion across high-potential destinations in the area, Accor announced the signing of TRIBE Kathmandu Budhanilkantha, which marks the debut of the TRIBE brand in South Asia.

The 100-key hotel will be built in collaboration with Sabrina Limited, under the direction of Chairman Mr. Nirajan Thapa, and is slated to open in 2029. One of Kathmandu’s most promising rising micro-markets will see the introduction of a daring, forward-thinking hospitality experience thanks to the project, which will be run under a management agreement.

The hotel, which is situated in Budhanilkantha, offers a more tranquil and environmentally friendly option to the city’s busier areas while benefiting from being close to important spiritual and cultural sites like Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. A new generation of experience-driven tourists and travellers with an interest in different cultures are driving up demand for the region.

In addition to well-thought-out rooms, the hotel will have lively social areas like an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality venue, and a trademark bar concept that will unite visitors and residents day and night. Along with a swimming pool, spa, and fitness center, guests will also have access to about 800 square meters of event space.

Ranju Alex, CEO of Accor’s South Asia division stated, “The signing of TRIBE Kathmandu Budhanilkantha marks an important milestone in expanding Accor’s presence in South Asia. TRIBE’s audacious and socially captivating approach to hospitality is a perfect fit for Kathmandu, a city moulded by spirituality, legacy, and changing tourist demands. TRIBE is well-positioned to appeal to a new generation of visitors with its design-led philosophy and emphasis on providing trendy, fashionable, and cosy lodging at a reasonable cost. We are thrilled to collaborate with Sabrina Limited to realise this unique product in Nepal.”

Nirajan Thapa, Chairman of Hotel Sabrina Limited stated , “We are thrilled to partner with Accor to introduce Tribe to Nepal with the signing of Tribe Kathmandu Budhanilkantha. We are certain that the hotel will become a significant lifestyle attraction in Kathmandu, and this development underscores our goal to create unique hospitality experiences in developing places.”

The initiative is in line with Accor’s strategy of leveraging developing micro-markets that have significant development potential and are in line with changing customer tastes for hospitality experiences that are focused on design and the community.

TRIBE Kathmandu Budhanilkantha is well-positioned to serve a wide range of travellers, including digital nomads and long-term visitors looking for flexible, socially linked hospitality experiences, as interest in Nepal as a destination for culture, spirituality, and adventure tourism grows worldwide.
