Visakhapatnam to host Andhra Pradesh-ADTOI National Tourism Mart 2026.

On February 13, 2026, the Andhra Pradesh–ADTOI National Tourism Mart (APTM 2026) was opened at the Vizag Convention Centre in Visakhapatnam by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA), Government of Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI).

In order to match Andhra Pradesh’s varied tourist portfolio with changing domestic travel trends, the two-day B2B travel mart was created as a strategic platform that encourages meaningful engagement, knowledge sharing, and commercial collaboration among stakeholders from all across the nation.

Domestic tour operators, tourism boards, government leaders, hospitality stakeholders, and media representatives from all over India have come together for APTM 2026. The event positions itself as a place for business and knowledge transfer, with prearranged business-to-business meetings, destination presentations, organised panel discussions, and well planned familiarisation tours

Shri Kandula Durgesh, Minister of Tourism, Government of Andhra Pradesh, officially opened the market alongside members of the association’s core team, including A.A.L. Padmavathi, Executive Director, APTDC; Dr. Nukasani Balaji, Chairman, APTDC; Ajay Jain, IAS, Special Chief Secretary – Tourism, Andhra Pradesh; Amrapali Kata, IAS, CEO & MD, APTA; A. Srinivas, Deputy CEO, APTA; K. Vijay Mohan, Chairman, APTM; Neelu Sharma, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board;

Out of 700 ADTOI members that registered, 485 attendedM.N. Harendhira Prasad, IAS, Distric the event, making it one of the biggest gatherings in the organization’s history. Over 600 stakeholders attended the event in total, including about 480 delegates who travelled from all over India. This shows that domestic tourism partnership is gaining steam and that there is substantial national participation.

The seven thematic sessions organised around the “Seven Anchor Hubs of Andhra Pradesh” are a major focus of APTM 2026. These targeted talks highlight the state’s long coastline, pilgrimage and spiritual routes, historical sites, eco-adventure opportunities, and tribal tourist experiences. The goal of the sessions is to present Andhra Pradesh as a domestic travel destination that is adaptable and has a lot of room for itinerary diversity.

In order to facilitate the development of new products and increase the state’s market awareness, the mart aims to fortify relationships between tour operators and destination stakeholders through its carefully designed business structure and interactive forums. To give delegates a firsthand look at the area’s tourism infrastructure and experiential resources, carefully planned familiarisation tours of Visakhapatnam and surrounding sites have been organised to supplement the conference schedule.

By establishing a vibrant platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and destination promotion, APTM 2026 is anticipated to significantly contribute to the growth of domestic tourism. The project, which unites policymakers, business executives, and travel industry professionals, supports Andhra Pradesh’s strategic goal to improve its position on India’s domestic tourism map and highlight its varied offerings, which include the Eastern Ghats, Buddhist heritage sites, tribal experiences, the Bay of Bengal coastline, Tirupati’s spiritual circuit, and new urban centers like Visakhapatnam.
