With the opening of Summit Signature Retreat Pangthang in Gangtok, Summit Hotels & Resorts has declared its foray into the Sikkim retreat hotel market. Situated on a mountaintop near Pangthang, the 38-room resort offers unhindered views of the Eastern Himalayas, including Mount Kanchenjunga.
Summit Signature Retreat Pangthang, surrounded by pine tree plantations and unspoiled mountain scenery, is intended for tourists looking for solitude, tranquilly, and a more leisurely, immersed vacation. The property’s elevated hilltop location guarantees a peaceful setting away from the bustle of the city, even though it is within driving distance of Gangtok’s main metropolis.

The 38 rooms of Summit Signature Retreat Pangthang are divided into several types, such as superior rooms, deluxe rooms, premium suites, attic suites, and luxury suites. Every accommodation has a private balcony that provides visitors with unhindered views of the Himalayan scenery. Some suites are appropriate for longer stays because they have separate living and dining spaces. Minibars and air conditioning are not provided in the rooms due to the temperature of the area and sustainability concerns.
One of the main tenets of the retreat experience is wellness. In addition to carefully planned areas for yoga and meditation, the facility has a specialised spa with specialised services. Together with the serene surroundings and expansive mountain vistas, these wellness offerings are meant to provide visitors a sense of relaxation, regeneration, and retreat.
