With its Kick-Off Sales Event 2026 in New Delhi, which brought together important travel trade partners, industry stakeholders, and diplomatic representatives, Vietnam Airlines underlined its commitment to the Indian market.
The event, which was held at the Novotel New Delhi City Centre, marked ten years of the India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and highlighted the corridor’s robust growth trajectory, with the number of Indian visitors to Vietnam rising from about 170,000 in 2019 to over 700,000 in the previous year
The signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with travel partners ixigo and Belair, which aim to improve connectivity, boost distribution, and deepen engagement with the Indian travel ecosystem, was a noteworthy development during the event.
“Strong air connectivity remains the backbone of our future cooperation, turning Vietnam into a preferred home-away-from-home for Indian families, business travellers, and explorers alike,” said Tran Thanh Tung, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Vietnam, emphasising the vital role that air connectivity plays in fostering bilateral growth.
The General Sales Agent (GSA) for Vietnam Airlines in India, Vineet Gupta, Vice President-Business Development at Aeroprime Group, emphasised the significance of trade partnerships in creating long-term momentum, saying, “Without our partners, we are just an airline or a GSA. We form a movement with you.” Vietnam is now more than just a place you travel to in 2026 it’s an emotion you fall in love with.
“Vietnam is no longer just a destination on a map; it is a magnificent new chapter for Indian tourism,” stated Shravan Bhalla, Vice President, OTOAI. The real test of a destination’s success is when visitors come back with more than simply tales they want to bring their friends and family back.
