In 2027, SWISS will establish new lounges at Zurich Airport.

In the first quarter of 2027, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will launch new SWISS Business and Senator Lounges at Zurich Airport. These lounges will have more space, more places to work and unwind, and expansive views of the airport and the Alps.

As part of the planned reconstruction of Zurich Airport, the new lounges will take the place of the current facilities at Dock A in a newly built facility on the southern side of Dock B.

The two lounges, each taking up a whole level, will provide around 20% more space than the existing amenities, totalling about 2,600 square meters.

The new lounges will have open floor plans, roomy seating sections, and completely glazed window fronts that let in natural light and offer views of the surrounding mountains, runways, and apron.

For travellers who want to work before their flights, both lounges will have extra chairs and a total of about 20 fully soundproofed workstations.

“With the new lounges, we are specifically investing in our guests’ travel experience at our home airport in Zurich,” stated Heike Birlenbach, Chief Customer Officer of SWISS. Comfort and a unique sense of Switzerland will be provided by additional space with places set aside for working and unwinding as well as open views of airport activities.

A bar with a 180-degree view of Runway 34, the apron and the Alps will be located along the window front of the new SWISS Senator Lounge.

The lounge will also include a wine humidor and a chamber set aside for the maturing of certain cheeses and preserved meats.

Some passengers may find it easier to get to the boarding gates because the bus gates will be situated directly beneath the new lounge structure.

The current SWISS Business Lounge, Senator Lounge, and SWISS Alpine Lounge at Dock A will close when the new facilities open.

As Zurich Airport’s renovation advances, SWISS also intends to move its First and HON Circle Lounge from Dock A to Dock B in 2028. It is anticipated that more information will be revealed later.
