Radisson uses 100 keys to indicate its presence in Kalimpong.

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of Radisson Resort Kalimpong, marking its entry into the charming hill station of Kalimpong in West Bengal, as part of a strategic plan to increase its presence across high-potential and underpenetrated leisure sectors. The Group’s commitment to growing in Eastern India through unique destinations is reinforced by this signing, which highlights the company’s larger focus on bolstering its position in secondary and high-barrier regions.
“As an underutilised leisure market with significant long-term potential, Kalimpong offers a compelling prospect. Being the destination’s first hotel with an international name is a reflection of our constant first-mover strategy, which involves breaking into growing areas early and influencing their hospitality scene with reputable international brands. It will further strengthen our footprint in Eastern India while reinforcing our commitment to bringing globally recognised hospitality brands to new tourism markets across the country,” According to Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group.
There will be 100 guest rooms at the resort, comprising 10 suites and 90 regular rooms. With a tea lounge and an all-day dining restaurant, the resort will provide modern eating alternatives. It will be ideal for corporate retreats, social events, and destination weddings because it will have a banquet hall, conference room, business lounge, and numerous meeting rooms, among other meeting and event amenities. In order to create a well-rounded resort experience that combines leisure, wellness, and business demands, other amenities will include a spa, fitness center, and an infinity pool.
Davashish Srivastava, Senior Director, Development, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, stated, “Radisson Resort Kalimpong confirms the effective execution of our plan to position Radisson Hotel Group as a top hotel chain in India’s eastern and northeastern states. At this advanced level of development, there is a great chance to build a high-end branded resort in a location with great natural appeal and little branded competition. We can develop a well-rounded resort product that can accommodate corporate off-sites, weddings, and leisure travellers thanks to the elevated location and extensive MICE and wellness amenities. We see strong long-term value in this market and look forward to developing a landmark property that blends international standards with the distinctive character of the Eastern Himalayas.”
