Air India Upgrades Mumbai London Flights with B787-9.

Air India introduced its newest onboard product to one of its premier international routes by starting to operate its newest Boeing 787-9 aircraft between Mumbai and London Heathrow.

Beginning on July 1, 2026, Air India’s new Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which have brand-new cabin interiors created specifically for Air India and installed directly on Boeing’s production line, will operate flights AI131/AI130 between Mumbai and London Heathrow. The airline’s high standards for comfort, technology, and customer experience are embodied in these line-fit aircraft, which are the first Boeing 787s specifically designed for the airline.

Additionally, the deployment adds Premium Economy Class to the route, giving passengers more options for travel between Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.

The airline’s upgraded Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with First Class will continue to operate its second daily flight between Mumbai and London Heathrow.
