Air India introduces the “Cloud Chasers” program for families and kids.

Cloud Chasers” is a new initiative by Air India that aims to improve the travel experience for families and young passengers by offering a variety of kid-focused onboard goods and services.

According to the airline, the market for family travel experiences is expected to rise by 13% between 2024 and 2025, which coincides with the project.

In order to engage young travellers throughout their journey, Cloud Chasers reimagines Air India’s famous Maharaja in a playful and adventurous form and offers a separate brand universe focused on children’s travel experiences.

Children between the ages of three and nine who travel on popular long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights that last longer than eight hours will receive specially designed onboard activity kits with games, puzzles, drawing exercises, and discovery prompts centred around the Cloud Chasers theme as part of the program.

Additionally, Air India has updated its children’s First Flight Certificates. Parents on board may request the updated certificates, which are signed by the captain and cabin staff and are meant to commemorate a child’s first flight.

Through the “Kids Zone,” which is accessible on the Vista in-flight entertainment system and offers more than 130 hours of programming, the airline has further broadened its selection of kid-friendly in-flight entertainment. More than 35 hours of extra kid-friendly content are available on the Vista Stream platform, which may be accessed via personal electronic devices.

In addition to instructive audio stories produced through a relationship with Vobble, the content portfolio features partnerships with international companies like Moonbug Entertainment and Red Bull TV.

The entertainment platform now includes interactive elements like Kids Maps and games like UNO, Angry Birds, Chess, and Ludo Race.

Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India stated, “With Cloud Chasers, we are reimagining what it means for families with kids to fly Air India. We have carefully considered what our young travellers actually need while creating this program, and we have created meaningful experiences that will make their travels with us more enjoyable and delightful. We have also unveiled our famous Maharaja in a brand-new, whimsical incarnation with this event. We are pleased to offer children an additional reason to travel with us as summer holidays approach.” Travellers should anticipate more improvements as we continue to improve Air India’s family travel experience, since this launch represents the first stage of a long-term goal.

When it is technically possible, the program offers priority boarding and check-in assistance for families travelling with children in addition to onboard involvement. On some local and international flights, bassinet seats and infant meals will also be offered.

According to the airline, the initiative aims to improve family travel while highlighting its emphasis on customer service and hospitality for both parents and children travellers.
