Jazeera Airways Reconnects Six Indian Cities via Saudi Arabia Under Vande Bharat.

In a major step toward re-establishing connection under Project Vande Bharat, Jazeera Airways has resumed flights to six Indian cities from Kuwait via Qaisumah Airport (AQI) in Hafar Al Batin, Saudi Arabia. After regional airspace limitations and the temporary suspension of operations at Kuwait International Airport, the airline is currently the only carrier operating from Kuwait, making it the first travel link between Kuwait and India.

Bookings are presently accepted for Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi, while the airline has not yet made the city names public.

Under this plan, travellers will take special buses from Kuwait to Qaisumah, where they would catch aircraft to India. For inbound travel, the same itinerary will be used.

Since access into the Kingdom is necessary to board subsequent flights, all travellers passing through Qaisumah Airport must possess a valid Saudi Arabian visa.

Every traveller using Qaisumah Airport (AQI) needs to have a current Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) visa. Since you will be entering Saudi Arabia to board your flight or make a stopover back to Kuwait, please make sure your visa is valid before starting your trip.

Additionally, I want to express my gratitude to the DGCA and the Ministries of External Affairs and Civil Aviation in Delhi for their cooperation and approval of this special arrangement. Since February 28, 2026, Kuwaiti airspace has been temporarily closed, causing numerous challenges for our citizens, some of whom had to leave Kuwait. Jazeera Airways deserves praise for their swift, proactive, and expert response and action.” I’m hoping that things in Kuwait and the surrounding area will soon return to normal and that people’s struggles and uncertainties—including those of the Indian community in Kuwait will end.
