IndiGo introduces a cabin bag-only option called “IndiGo Lite Fare.”

IndiGo has added “IndiGo Lite,” a new fare choice, to its lineup of suitable products for economy class passengers. Customers who just have cabin luggage can pay for the services they use with this entry-level fare.

Beginning on July 1, 2026, IndiGo’s direct channels the website, mobile application, and contact center will offer IndiGo Lite fares for travel beginning on July 15, 2026. Both adult and kid travellers will be able to use it on nonstop domestic and international routes for one-way, round-trip, and multicity travel.

Customers can now take advantage of a reduced base ticket, a free auto-assigned seat, and a 7 kg cabin bag allowance. Additionally, it gives users the ability to customise their trip by purchasing optional extras like meals, preferred seats, baggage check-in, and premium services like Fast Forward.

These services can be added at the airport or on the IndiGo website up to an hour before departure. IndiGo Lite passengers will still be able to accrue and use IndiGo BluChip points, guaranteeing that all tariff types will continue to benefit from IndiGo’s loyalty program.
