IndiGo to Deploy Second A321XLR on Delhi–Istanbul Route from April 19, 2026.

With effect from April 19, 2026, IndiGo has announced the deployment of its second Airbus A321XLR on the Delhi–Istanbul route. Through its codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines, the route allows the airline to provide smooth onwards connections to more than 50 international destinations.

With 183 Economy seats and 12 IndiGoStretch seats a specially designed business product the airline will provide a dual-class arrangement. Free hot meals and drinks inspired by local and international cuisines are available to patrons in both cabins; vegetarian options are the default, while non-vegetarian meals can be reserved in advance. Alcoholic drinks are free for IndiGoStretch clients and can be purchased in Economy or by making a reservation. A next-generation digital in-flight entertainment system is also installed on the aircraft, allowing passengers to watch a variety of content directly on their personal devices, including Indian and foreign movies, TV series, games, anime, and more.

An important turning point in the airline’s internationalisation process was reached earlier this year when IndiGo became the first Indian airline to add the Airbus A321XLR to its fleet and begin operations to Athens. IndiGo is able to access new long-haul markets and provide consumers with a much better travel experience thanks to the next-generation aircraft’s increased range, fuel efficiency, and cabin comfort.
