Hyatt Signs Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls.

The Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom in Zimbabwe is part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation‘s efforts to increase its footprint in Africa. The hotel will be built under a management agreement between a Hyatt affiliate and an Albwardy Investments LLC affiliate, and it is anticipated to open in late 2027.

When it opens, the facility will become Zimbabwe’s second Hyatt-branded hotel and become a part of the World of Hyatt portfolio, allowing members to accrue and use loyalty benefits.

The hotel, which was first constructed in 1966 and refurbished in 1999, will go through a comprehensive refurbishment and design makeover in keeping with the Grand Hyatt brand. According to Hyatt, the renovation will produce a high-end hospitality experience that introduces the brand’s distinctive service and design standards while reflecting the destination’s history.

Situated in the center of Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Smoke That Thunders,” the hotel offers easy access to safari circuits, guided excursions, dining options, and cultural attractions. It is only a five-minute walk from the Victoria Falls rainforest.

The hotel is anticipated to have three dining options, a spa, a fitness center, a large lobby area, 245 guestrooms, and about 1,800 square meters of meeting and event space. According to Hyatt, the establishment will offer a variety of culinary, wellness, and event experiences to both leisure and business travellers.

The hotel will be more accessible for both domestic and foreign guests because it is located closest to the entrance of Victoria Falls National Park on the Zimbabwean side of the border and around 20 minutes away by car from Victoria Falls International Airport.
