TIA will organise the 2026 Tourism Exchange (TEX) in Odisha from January 8–10

The Tourism Exchange (TEX) 2026, the premier industry platform of the Tourism India Alliance (TIA), a non-profit tourism organisation with a network of more than 450 members in more than 80 locations, has returned. The next edition of TEX 2025 will take place at the Mayfair Palm Beach Resort and Spa in Gopalpur-on-Sea, Odisha, from January 8 to 10, 2026, in response to the great reaction to the previous event in Pushkar.  TEX 2026 is anticipated to bring together state tourism boards, international tourist organisations, business executives, travel agencies, journalists, and influencers, making it one of India’s most complete tourism events. The three-day event, which is envisioned as an inclusive platform for the whole tourist sector, will include panel discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, organised networking, and targeted business-to-business meetings with the goal of fostering cooperation and new business prospects. Over 300 participants and over 30 exhibitors from India and abroad are anticipated to attend the event.  An influential lineup of speakers and thought leaders influencing the future of Indian tourism will be present in the 2026 edition. Suman Billa, IAS, Additional Secretary and Director General, Ministry of tourist, whose leadership has been instrumental in India’s tourist development endeavours, will give the keynote presentation. Along with senior officials and industry leaders like Naveen Kundu and Arun Srivastava from the Ministry of Tourism, the speaker roster also includes Hitesh Motwani on artificial intelligence in tourism, Amar Choudhary on motivation and leadership, Abhishek Agarwal on GST and compliance, Hemant Mediratta on luxury travel trends, and Rajeev Kohli on inbound tourism. Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh are among the state tourist boards that will take part and showcase their most recent destination projects and products. Representatives from the Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau will also be in attendance, giving the event a global feel.  The Tourism India Alliance Awards for Excellence in Tourism 2026, which honour exceptional efforts within the industry, will be a major feature of TEX 2026. Innovation, leadership, sustainability, travel services, destination management, representation, luxury travel, MICE, marketing leadership, women entrepreneurs, and technology-driven tourism projects are just a few of the sectors that will be recognised with these awards.  A TIA representative discussed the next edition, stating that TEX has developed into a national movement that promotes cooperation along the tourism value chain. The spokesperson went on to say that TEX 2026 seeks to promote meaningful discourse and highlight new prospects in order to bolster India’s standing as a resilient and competitive travel destination on a global scale.  Planning to take place in Gopalpur-on-Sea, Odisha, from January 8 to January 10, 2026, For industry participants, tourist boards, and foreign partners looking to interact with India’s quickly changing tourism sector, TEX 2026 is anticipated to be a major turning point. In keeping with its mission to further India’s tourism vision, the Tourism India Alliance keeps working to fortify the tourism ecosystem via collaboration, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
