Olivier Piette appointed Executive Vice-President, Strategy & CEO Office at Air France-KLM.

Olivier Piette has been named Executive Vice-President Strategy & CEO Office by Air France-KLM, with effect from February 1, 2026. Piette joins the Group Executive Committee (GEC) in this enlarged capacity and will still answer directly to Group CEO Benjamin Smith.
Piette’s new duties will include managing the Group Network, Brand Portfolio Strategy, Group Communication, and Strategy. The appointment is intended to improve the Group’s long-term strategic planning, corporate communications, global network governance, and brand portfolio consistency.

Olivier has worked for Air France and our Group for 24 years. During that time, he has shown a remarkable capacity to handle challenging situations with a cross-functional perspective and a strong sense of leadership. He is the perfect leader to advance our roadmap and increase the effect of our brands because of his extensive knowledge of network strategy and corporate governance.”
Piette has 24 years of experience with Air France and Air France-KLM, and he has a Master’s degree in Engineering from Mines de Nancy. Flight operations, network planning, global sales, and corporate strategy are some of the important roles he has had throughout his career. Prior to being named Chief of Staff to the Group CEO in September 2024, he was Air France’s Senior Vice-President Network from 2020 to 2024.
