DS Group and Marriott International partner to bring W Hotels in Delhi NCR.

Leading FMCG conglomerate and multibusiness company Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) has announced the start of a new luxury hotel project under the W Hotels brand in collaboration with Marriott International. With an estimated ₹400 crore investment, the 200-room hotel is set to open in the second half of 2027 close to Delhi Aerocity and Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The project is W Hotels’ second location in India, following Goa, and its debut in Delhi NCR. Designed to appeal to a new generation of leisure and business visitors, the hotel will blend bold design, immersive experiences, and dynamic social areas to create a modern, lifestyle-led luxury destination.

Vice Chairman of DS Group Rajiv Kumar made the announcement, saying, “The Indian hospitality sector is currently witnessing an unprecedented growth trajectory, fuelled by a robust surge in domestic travel and a significant demand-supply mismatch in the premium segment. India’s hotel penetration rate is around a tenth of the global average, with about 0.27 hotel keys per 1,000 inhabitants. New Delhi continues to be the essential entry point to the high-value diplomatic and corporate echelons that eventually build a brand’s equity and authority in the subcontinent, even as major international firms are quickly expanding their footprints throughout the Indian terrain. The introduction of Marriott International’s W Hotels brand demonstrates our ongoing dedication to the hospitality industry and is a critical turning point in DS Group’s expansion plan, which is in line with our long-term goal of giving our visitors experiences that are unmatched.”

Nathan Andrews, Business Head, Hospitality, DS Group stated, “This project is a significant step for the DS Group as we expand our hospitality footprint with a target of 10–12 hotels by FY29. We are establishing a new standard for design-led luxury projects in one of India’s most competitive markets by introducing the renowned W Hotels brand to Delhi NCR.” The Aerocity area is the perfect place for a well-known brand that blends unparalleled accessibility with long-term value for Delhi NCR because it continues to show remarkable demand and RevPAR growth. This collaboration demonstrates our dedication to influencing Indian hospitality in the future by providing carefully chosen, memorable experiences for contemporary international tourists.

Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International said, “As Marriott International continues to expand our hospitality options in India to meet the evolving needs of both guests and owners, the signing of our first W Hotels in Delhi NCR is set to introduce a bold new expression of luxury to this dynamic, high-energy market. We are thrilled to work with the Dharampal Satyapal Group, whose reputation for excellence and forward-thinking approach to premium, experience-led hospitality perfectly complement Marriott International’s dedication to providing unique, superior hospitality experiences that are based on solid alliances and a common goal for long-term value creation.”

The hotel is positioned to upend conventional hospitality because it is based on the W Hotels philosophy of recognising individuality, sparking curiosity, and broadening perspectives. The hotel will become a lively, music-infused lifestyle destination by fusing cutting-edge, design-led spaces with energetic social hubs like the W Lounge. The DS Group’s reputation of excellence and its strategic focus on providing premium, industry-leading experiences are perfectly aligned with this innovative and immersive guest engagement concept.

With plans to treble its hotel inventory by 2029 and a commitment of ₹1,000 crore for expansion over the next few years, DS Group has announced an ambitious hospitality growth strategy. Namah Nainital, Namah Jim Corbett, Radisson Blu Guwahati, InterContinental Jaipur, Renaissance Bengaluru, and Holiday Inn Express Kolkata are all part of the company’s current hospitality portfolio.
