Mumbai holds a destination exhibition hosted by Saudi & TBO Academy.

In order to provide more than 130 top travel agents with an authentic Saudi destination experience, the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) organised a special destination presentation in Mumbai in partnership with TBO Academy. The purpose of the event was to increase interaction with Mumbai’s tourism industry and support Saudi Arabia’s increasing emphasis on the Indian outbound market.

Saudi Arabia’s Golden Triangle Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla was highlighted in the session as important tourist destinations for Indians. While Jeddah stood out as a historic maritime gateway fusing culture with seashore attractiveness, Riyadh was emphasised as a vibrant centre for business, entertainment, and big events. AlUla, which is home to natural landmarks like Elephant Rock and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hegra, has drawn attention as a cultural and historical symbol.

Travel partners were exposed to Saudi Arabia’s newer locations, such as Taif, Aseer, and Al-Baha, which are renowned for their beautiful scenery, cultural diversity, and agreeable weather. These destinations go beyond the Golden Triangle. Red Sea Global, an ultra-luxury destination development now accessible to tourists looking for unique and sustainable luxury experiences, was also highlighted during the event.

With more than 320 weekly flights, air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and India is still expanding. Key airline partners, such as Flynas, IndiGo, Saudia, Oman Air, Jazeera Airways, and Akasa Air, were briefed to Mumbai-based agents, guaranteeing robust connectivity across numerous Indian gateways. In order to emphasise how easy it is for Indian tourists to come to Saudi Arabia, simplified visa alternatives such as stopover visas, eVisas, tourist visas, and Visa on Arrival were also highlighted.

Saudi Arabia’s year round schedule of events, such as Riyadh Season, the MDLBEAST music festival, and AlUla’s cultural programming, further illustrated the destination’s allure in the entertainment, leisure, and heritage sectors.

The trade engagement platform, which provides access to destination focused learning modules, ready to sell itineraries, and exclusive incentive-led activities, was introduced by TBO Academy during the session. Along with performance based incentive programs intended to recognise top performing agents, a few giveaways were added as part of the engagement plan.
