Greater Kruger, South Africa’s Taj Bush Lodge opens.

The Taj brand has expanded into the Greater Kruger region of South Africa with the announcement of the launch of Taj Bush Lodge Greater Kruger by Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL).

The first of three Taj lodges planned for the area, the new luxury wilderness resort is situated inside the Big Five Balule Nature Reserve, which is a part of the larger Kruger National Park ecosystem.

“As Taj enters Greater Kruger with the first of three luxury wilderness lodges, it brings with it a legacy of over a century of offering exceptional experiences deeply rooted in the destination,” stated Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL. The brand’s position in the nation is strengthened by the inauguration of Taj Bush Lodge, Greater Kruger, which expands the South African itinerary by fusing the animals of Kruger National Park with the expansive landscapes of Cape Town.

With thatched roofs, cosy timber textures, and earthy furnishings influenced by local heritage and aesthetics, the six-key Taj Bush Lodge was created to blend in with its natural surroundings.

The lodge provides carefully chosen safari and recreational activities with a focus on animals, the environment, and wellbeing. Open-air breakfasts after morning game drives, traditional South African braais, full-day safaris within Kruger National Park, boat cruises in Blyde Canyon, quad biking in the Maseke Reserve, and excursions along the Panorama Route will all be available to guests.

Other adventures include boat trips on the Olifants River and visits to sites like Jessica the Hippo and the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Additionally, J health Circle, Taj’s renowned health facility that offers holistic therapies in a natural setting, is located on the grounds.

In the upcoming months, two other Taj lodges in the park will open to complement this.

One of Africa’s largest game reserves, Kruger National Park spans approximately two million hectares and is well-known throughout the world for its Big Five wildlife sightings and biodiversity.
