FlySafair will be acquired by Harith General Partners.

Subject to the required regulatory permissions, FlySafair, the top low-cost airline in Southern Africa, has revealed that its shareholders have signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Harith and its affiliates for the planned acquisition of the airline.
According to the airline, the development won’t affect its regular business operations. FlySafair will carry on with business as normal for its clients, staff, and partners under its current name, management, and approach, concentrating on low prices, dependable operations, and excellent on-time performance.
According to the airline, the proposed deal shows faith in FlySafair’s focused staff, disciplined operational methodology, and well-defined strategic direction, setting the company up for long-term growth and sustainability.
In light of the Air Services Licensing Council’s findings from early 2025, FlySafair stated that a separate regulatory process pertaining to its ownership structure is still in progress and is being reviewed by the legal system. The airline explained that the proposed deal has been discussed for a long time and was not started in response to those results. Although the deal would give South African investors ownership of FlySafair, it does not immediately settle issues that are presently being considered by licensing authorities, who will independently evaluate the suggested structure in accordance with their legislative responsibilities.
The proposed investment is in line with Harith‘s aim of creating an integrated transport ecosystem throughout the continent, which is commemorating 20 years as a long-term infrastructure investor in Africa. With a focus on operational excellence, affordability, dependability, and improved connectivity, the deal is meant to sustain FlySafair’s current course and is supported by patient, long-term finance.
Standard regulatory permissions, such as those conducted by the Competition Commission and pertinent aviation agencies, are still pending for the planned transaction. As the approval process moves forward, FlySafair and its shareholders stated that they will keep communicating openly and constructively with all authorities. The outcome of these regulatory reviews will determine the completion timeline.
Its investing strategy, Harith continued, concentrates on well-established companies with tested business plans. With a focus on long-term value development, consistent performance, and improved transport connectivity throughout Africa, FlySafair has established a strong brand and a methodical, profitable formula. The airline plans to continue operating under its present leadership and strategy.
