Minor Hotels signs Australia’s first Anantara luxury property, Anantara Perth.
A major turning point in the group’s worldwide expansion strategy, Minor Hotels has announced the signing of the Anantara Perth Hotel, which will launch its upscale Anantara brand in Australia.
The AUD $3.8 billion Burswood Point masterplanned development on the Swan River shoreline is expected to be anchored by the Anantara Perth when it opens in 2032. Golden Sedayu, a collaboration between Indonesia’s top real estate developer, Agung Sedayu, and Perth-based Golden Group, is creating the recently constructed property.
The hotel will introduce Perth to Anantara’s award-winning wellness philosophy and Thai-inspired luxury hospitality. It will have 150 modern guest rooms and suites, two destination restaurants, a swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness center, and the brand’s iconic Anantara Spa.
The more than 50 Anantara resorts worldwide, which are renowned for providing immersive, destination-led experiences, will soon include Anantara Perth. The hotel will be a welcome addition to Minor Hotels’ current portfolio in Australia, which consists of more than 60 establishments under the Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites and Avani Hotels & Resorts brands.
