Mumbai members get together for an interesting evening with OTOAI.

On April 3, 2026, OTOAI, in collaboration with myPartner by MakeMyTrip, held its Members’ Meet Series in Mumbai at Kyma, BKC. The OTOAI Managing Committee, the myPartner by MakeMyTrip team, and a sizable assembly of Mumbai members were also present at the ceremony.
The evening, which took place in a laid-back, agenda-free environment, was full with deep discussions, improved relationships, and a genuine sense of unity among participants. It demonstrated how casual, straightforward exchanges frequently have the biggest and most enduring effects on the travel community.
OTOAI President Himanshu Patil gave a brief speech outlining the association’s ongoing initiatives and difficulties. “OTOAI is a young association primarily focused on outbound tourism issues. We need more people because we can better tackle industry issues as a group if we have a larger membership. We now lack sufficient representation at the Center and are not well acknowledged at the government level because outbound tourism is frequently viewed as a forex outflow rather than an earning sector. Nonetheless, OTOAI has played a significant role in several lobbying initiatives, such as the Budget 2026 lowering of TCS on international travel packages to a flat 2%. This is a big step in the direction of increased competitiveness. We can continue to interact with the government and address more of our industry’s issues if we unite as a stronger group going forwardA day earlier, the group had a members’ meeting in Kolkata, which was likewise well received. Bravo to Team OTOAI for organising such a welcoming and interesting event. We anticipate many more of these gatherings,” he said.
