Demand increasing, Etihad adds Damascus to daily service.

Starting on November 14, 2026, Etihad Airways will run a daily service to Damascus, expanding the route from four to seven weekly flights.

The route has swiftly established itself as a crucial conduit between the two nations for families, business travellers, and visitors continuing around Etihad’s network since its first flight in June. Each of them now has a lot more freedom to choose when they travel because to the shift to a daily timetable.

Arik De, Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer of Etihad Airways stated,  “The response to our Damascus service has impressed us from the very first flight, and a daily service is the natural next step. It puts Damascus just one stop from the numerous locations we serve outside of Abu Dhabi and makes the Syrian capital easily accessible to our visitors in the United Arab Emirates.”

Travellers from Syria can continue their journey with Etihad from Abu Dhabi to locations in North America, including Toronto and Calgary, which will join the network on October 25 as Etihad’s newest destination on the continent, as well as New York and Charlotte, from Muscat and the Maldives.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Saadiyat Cultural District’s museums, and the Arabian Gulf’s beaches are just a few of the UAE capital’s treasures for visitors, and Etihad’s Stopover program makes a prolonged stay simple.

The daily service makes Damascus closer than ever for visitors heading in the opposite way. The fortified Old City and the Umayyad Mosque, one of the most venerated sites in the Arab world, are located in the Syrian capital, which has long been a hub of trade, scholarship, and religion.
