Emirates will begin operating flights to Helsinki, Finland.
Beginning with the first flight, the service will use Emirates‘ newest aircraft model, the A350, bringing its newest merchandise and highly regarded Premium Economy class to Finland. Emirates will increase its presence in the Nordic region by starting a daily flight between Helsinki and Dubai on October 1, 2026. The new route opens up more options for both business and leisure tourists from abroad by establishing the only direct, year round connection between Finland and the United Arab Emirates. With convenient access to and from major East and Southeast Asian destinations like Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, and Taipei; extensive connectivity throughout West Asia and popular Indian Ocean points; African destinations like Cairo, Cape Town, and Johannesburg; major hubs throughout the Middle East and GCC like Damman, Riyadh, Muscat, and Kuwait City; and all five Australian cities on Emirates’ network, along with connections from Auckland and Christchurch in New Zealand, the flight schedule has been optimised to ensure seamless onwards connections.

With 5 million foreign visitors in recent years, tourism continues to be a major driver of the nation’s economy, according to Visit Finland. With this new route, Emirates will connect from more than 150 locations across its worldwide network, including strategic locations in Australia, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, where there is a growing need for pleasant and easy travel to Helsinki.
