Korea Tourism Organization Targets Higher Indian Arrivals in 2026 with Two-City Roadshow.

On March 12 and 13, 2026, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) successfully held Korea Tourism Roadshows in New Delhi and Mumbai, demonstrating its dedication to enhancing ties with the Indian travel industry and increasing Indian visitor arrivals.

The Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) program and the K-Incentive Scheme 4.0, two major trade-focused initiatives for 2026, were unveiled by KTO during the roadshows with the goal of empowering travel partners to create superior and varied travel experiences to Korea.

Nearly 200,000 Indian tourists visited South Korea in 2025, up 13% from the year before, and nearly 19 million people arrived worldwide, exceeding yearly goals and highlighting the destination’s expanding appeal abroad

Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director-India & SAARC Countries at KTO stated, “India continues to be an important and high-potential market for Korea’s tourism industry. The consistent increase in Indian immigration and the growing interest of tourists in Korea’s experiences and culture are encouraging. Building on this trend, KTO hopes to welcome about 270,000 Indian tourists in 2026 while continuing to assist our travel trade partners with programs like K-Incentive Scheme 4.0 and the KPTC program.”

The roadshows in Delhi and Mumbai are a part of KTO’s continuous initiatives to improve cooperation with the Indian travel industry and raise awareness of Korea’s many travel options.

Travel agents are encouraged to create Korea-specific travel packages that include at least one local city outside of Seoul under the K-Incentive Scheme 4.0, which encourages Indian tourists to visit other places like Busan, Gangwon-do, Jeollanam-do, or Gyeongju. A proposal including their itinerary and promotional strategy must be submitted by participating agencies. At the conclusion of the campaign, top-performing agencies will be acknowledged. Selected partners will receive performance-based prizes, promotional support, and aid with visa facilitation.

For travel agencies who specialise in high-end travel to Korea, there is a unique certification program called the Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) program. The curriculum equips agents to create upscale itineraries and provides in-depth insights into Korea’s luxury experiences through structured training sessions.

Participating agencies are asked to create high-end travel packages that include at least one iconic high-end Korean experience and five-star or luxury lodging. The KPTC program’s inaugural webinar is set for March 23, 2026.
