The first of 16 Airbus A350-900s that were ordered have been delivered to EGYPTAIR, making it the type’s launch operator in North Africa. The A350 will help the airline modernise its long-haul aircraft and expand its network by adding new nonstop routes from its Cairo hub to important locations including the US West Coast and North Asia. EGYPTAIR now has 11 A330 Family aircraft, including five A330-200P2F, seven A321neos, and eight A320neos in its fleet.
There are 310 Economy Class seats and 30 Business Class suites with direct aisle access on this two-class aircraft. With improved ergonomics and increased comfort, the newest Airspace cabin is intended to enhance the long-haul travel experience for both passengers and crew.
With its ability to go up to 9,700 nautical miles or 18,000 km nonstop, the A350 is a cutting-edge widebody aircraft that is revolutionising intercontinental travel. Modern aerodynamics and technologies in the aeroplane provide unparalleled levels of comfort and efficiency. When compared to competitors’ earlier models, its most recent Rolls-Royce engines and lightweight construction provide a 25% reduction in fuel consumption, operational expenses, and carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions.
The A350 can already run on up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), much like all other Airbus aircraft. By 2030, Airbus wants all of its aircraft to be 100% SAF capable.
By the end of January 2026, 67 customers worldwide had placed over 1,500 orders for the A350 Family.
