Disney Cruise Line announces Disney Believe for 2027.

During the Horizons: D23 Disney Experiences Showcase, Disney Cruise Line revealed additional information about the Disney Believe, including a preview of the ship’s exterior artwork and Grand Hall.
The ship will be inspired by a number of Disney and Pixar films, including Moana, Toy Story, and Peter Pan, according to Claire Weiss, Portfolio Executive Creative Director, who unveiled the new concepts at D23.
Moana Is an Inspiration for Grand Hall
The Grand Hall on Disney Believe will function as a focal point for socialising, in keeping with the design philosophy of sister ships Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.
With artisanal Polynesian finishes that represent the region’s cultural traditions and design elements from the South Pacific, the venue will be inspired by the spirit of discovery seen in Disney Animation’s Moana movie.
A central feature of the Grand Hall will be a bronze cast statue of Moana, Pua, and Heihei, all of whom are shown gazing toward uncharted territory.
Buzz Lightyear and Woody Take Over the Stern
Additionally, Disney Cruise Line unveiled the character artwork intended for Disney Believe’s façade. The ship’s stern will have life-size sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story films, carrying on the cruise line’s custom of providing each ship unique character artwork.
The characters will be shown cooperating to use big yellow crayons to write the ship’s name on the stern. The Disney Believe moniker will be displayed in whimsical script that draws inspiration from the Toy Story block-style font, rather of the looped calligraphy that is typically used across the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
Tinker Bell Will Be on the Bow
A hand-painted filigree of Tinker Bell from the 1953 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Peter Pan will be displayed on the ship’s bow.
The swirling bow design will feature silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, and other movie characters alongside Tinker Bell.
“This ship celebrates belief in magic, family, the power of nature, and belief in yourself,” Weiss stated regarding the ship’s creative direction.
“And the fundamental Disney idea of believing in something fantastical will connect all the stories we tell onboard,” she continued.
Disney Believe’s primary creative theme is established by the recently unveiled design components, which connect the various Disney experiences that are planned for the ship through storytelling centred upon belief.
